Please inform us if a member of your group has mobility problems.

On arrival

Pay at reception (unless you have arranged to be invoiced) and ask for the Education Officer if you have booked a talk.


Come prepared for all sorts. Many of the exhibits are out of doors.


There are picnic tables available around the site for eating packed lunches.


Our Restaurant serves snacks and drinks throughout the day.

Advance booking (2 weeks) is essential, however, for groups who wish to buy main meals. If you think that your group will be buying lunch, you must let us know in advance otherwise they may find that there is not enough food. Details are on the restaurant booking form.


The shop has plenty of choice for pupils and teachers. We carry a wide range of books and products. School groups must be supervised in the shop.

GREAT NEWS...Bursary offer for North Wales schools and colleges EXTENDED 2016/2017!

The Thomas Howell Education Fund for North Wales has granted CAT additional funds to subsidise even more KS3-5 pupils in North Wales for STEM based visits to CAT in 2016 and  2017.

CAT is delighted that due to the renewal of this grant we can continue to offer this amazing opportunity to schools and colleges in this region to apply for FREE  CAT entries and tuition. 

CAT educational visits can enhance their STEM subjects using thought provoking, science based activities to discover sustainable solutions to environmental problems.
